He asked me one day after rehearsal. We had finished practicing Christmas carols, and our director had said that we could leave early. My mom was picking me up in 45 minutes, so I decided that I would sit down in the hallway, and blog for a little bit on my iPod. As I left the theory room, someone grabbed my forearm.
"Can I talk to you for a minute?"
It was Landon, a cute tenor whom I adored. He had a ‘Flynn Rider’ look to him, with his brown eyes and hair, a great jaw line, and a perfect nose. He had an incredible voice and made all the girls swoon in the musical every year. He loved Disney movies and musicals like me, to my delight.
"Sure. What’s going on?"
"Let’s go over by your locker."
I nervously walked over to my locker, about halfway down the hallway.
"I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me. I have an extra ticket to the musical ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in Appleton. I know how much you love Disney."
"I would love to," I replied coyly.
That next weekend, we saw the musical, though I think I spent more time looking at him than the musical. From there on, we were officially dating.
